Preventing complaints requires design validation, dimensional control, realistic testing, and accurate instructions before mass production.

Identify Where Leakage Begins

Water may pass over a low edge, collect around a poorly fitted spout, run beneath a warped tray, or drip outside the board from side-mounted cup holders. Leakage can also occur when the rack is placed farther from the sink than expected.

The first engineering step is to map every wet zone. Plate rows, bowl areas, utensil baskets, glass holders, and frame joints should all drain within the tray footprint. Accessories beyond that area require an extended board or separate collection section.

Design the Tray Around Water Movement

A tray needs more than enough length and width. Its slope, ribs, edge height, outlet position, and stiffness determine whether water reaches the sink or remains trapped.

Inspection should cover overall dimensions, edge height, slope, spout fit, flatness, color, and removal function. A water-flow check on sampled finished units can identify problems that visual inspection misses.

Explain Placement Clearly

Packaging and instructions should show sink direction, spout position, tray installation, and the recommended distance from the sink. Images must reflect the supplied configuration rather than a specially prepared display sample.
